Holy lie

A touching story about love, hope, and a small lie told for the sake of great happiness.

For many years, Señora Balboa has been waiting for the day she can finally reunite with her beloved grandson. But one day her husband discovers a painful truth: their grandson has become a swindler and an adventurer. Unwilling to shatter his wife’s dream and cause her heartbreak, Señor Balboa turns to the services of the “Atelier of Illusions.”

A hired actor agrees to play the role of the long-awaited grandson and give the elderly woman the reunion she has dreamed of for so many years. However, the carefully crafted plan begins to unravel when an unexpected chain of events takes the story in a completely unforeseen direction.

What is more important — truth or happiness? Can a lie be justified when it is inspired by love? And does the truth always bring comfort?

Warm, heartfelt and full of unexpected twists, this story makes audiences laugh, empathize and reflect on the things that matter most: love, family, forgiveness and the pursuit of happiness.
